OAA Flag

 The (OAA) Original African American flag, designed by    Nayima Sharif, is red, white, and blue, to represent the nationality of the first Americans of African descent, and their descendants since the year 1526, 

while the flag's circle of 10 blue stars represents the 10 Significant Slavery Revolts & Rebellions of our people.

The ribbon represents the OAA history timeline, paired with 8 white stars, representing the 8 Crucial Organized Events of our Civil Rights Movement,

and the black raised hands toward the 10 blue circle of stars, symbolize our community's upliftment through the perseverance and resilience of our people.
